Plein Air 2024
What is ‘En Plein Air’ I hear you ask! Vis Art invite members to meet to draw/paint at local open air venues during the summer. See below for details of where we'll be.
The idea is to SKETCH- people, views, objects, plants etc. anything that can inform your art work. We have a list of 22 venues for this summer- some new places to interest you. It’s free. Beginners welcome.
Bring your own supplies: lightweight seat, art materials, table/board/easel/paper/water. NB you may want to walk a short distance to get the best views so keep your kit to a minimum and light!
Outings are weather dependent so keep an eye on the What’sApp and email and the ‘organiser’ for that day will let you know if it has to be cancelled at about 8.30am on the day. They will also send map locations for the meeting point on the Monday in advance. Look out for the Vis Art flag at the venue parking area. Members will be close by! Bring more clothes than you think you need and a flask/snacks if you wish. We meet at 10am, finish at 12.30pm. Heed notes on the programme eg venues with limited parking means we need to car share or there is an entrance fee. Enjoy!!
