The excitement was mounting as we prepared for our Annual Exhibition and Celebration event
This is particularly special for us as it is the first time in quite a few years that we have been able to secure a venue which will accommodate  the work of over 25 local artists.  Yes - you heard it ... over 25 Vis Art ....
over 25 Vis Art artists with a wide range of styles, taste and medium choices. Something for everyone.
We are very pleased to be in Houston's Mill, Broughshane in their beautiful recently redecorated Scutch Room -The perfect backdrop for our paintings.
Come along and enjoy!
On Wednesday 9 November we held our Open Evening with our members, their guests and guests of Vis Art attending.
Before the Exhibition opened our judgers enjoyed an advance prefer of our show and decided on which of our artists would be recipients of Vis Art Perpetual Awards.
Guest Artist, Patsi McCartney-Morrough, judged and presented the Frank Shepherd Award for Most Original Painting
The President's Award  judged and presented by Vis President Catherine Flood
The Jacque Mc Neill Award for The Most Atmospheric Painting was judged and presented by Jacque McNeill
The Framers Award was presented by Lesley Sharp of Fair Frames

We were also happy to welcome  Jean Gardiner of  MS Ballymena to accept a cheque on behalf of  our local MS support group. MS was the club's nominated charity  for 2022. Donations came from catalogue sales from the exhibition, a raffle on Open Night and donations from demonstrations during the year.

Following the Open Night we had three very successful days with pleasing sales of original painting, prints and cards.
This was our first time to exhibit in Broughshane's Houston's Mill. We would like to thank Sandy and people of Broughshane for their warm welcome and support for club. Hopefully we'll be back next year - Same time!  Same place!
